The Melville Chamber of Commerce has served businesses across Long Island and beyond since 2001. Wave Community began as its rebuild. Today the Chamber’s website, staff admin, payments, advertising and apps all run on it, and every feature this site describes is in use there.

A brochure site staff kept up by hand
Like most chambers, Melville had a website that described the Chamber well but could not do much for members. News and events were static pages, and every change to the member list went through the office.
The Chamber wanted something members had a reason to open, and that let a small office run a large membership and a full calendar, including a Business Expo, without adding staff.
One platform, one member record
- Every member imported from the Chamber’s old export, categorized and pinned on the map
- A page for every member, written for search engines and AI assistants
- Registration, tickets and QR check-in for breakfasts, roundtables, after-hours mixers and the Business Expo
- Joining and dues online, on a yearly Stripe subscription with receipts
- Exhibitor tables and sponsorships sold on the Expo’s own pages
- A member feed and digital business cards, so members meet members
- Apps on both stores, with Apple Wallet and an Apple Watch card
- HQ, where staff publish, approve, send and check people in
